What earns a place in the box

Our mission is simple: make clean, safe, trustworthy products easy to access. Every item in our boxes has to meet these standards before it reaches your home — or your body.

Full ingredient transparency

Transparency is non-negotiable. We require complete, honest ingredient lists — no vague terms, no "fragrance blend," no hidden components.

If a brand can't fully disclose what's in their formula, we don't include it.

Our fragrance policy

We prioritize naturally scented and essential-oil-based formulas, while recognizing some brands use crafted fragrance oils. We follow EWG Verified guidelines for fragrance, which require:

  • Low exposure risk
  • Every aroma component fully disclosed
  • Verified free from phthalates, parabens, endocrine disruptors, carcinogens and known irritants

Clean, high-quality ingredients

  • Plant-based or naturally derived
  • Organic or ethically sourced botanicals wherever possible
  • Simple, effective formulations — not padded with fillers
  • Safe preservatives, only where genuinely needed

Brand integrity

We choose brands that disclose ingredients openly, avoid greenwashing, value ethical sourcing, educate their customers, and share our low-tox philosophy.

We proudly support small businesses and makers who put health first.

Tested & approved

We personally test many of the items we include. If a product doesn't feel good, smell clean, perform well, or meet our safety values, it doesn't make the box.

Sustainable packaging Bonus

Not required, but always appreciated. Recyclable materials, reduced plastic and thoughtful design earn a brand extra credit — they're never a deal-breaker.

  • Artificial dyes & unnecessary fillers
